Started attending Svitlo School: January 2025

Responsibilities:

• ESOL Discussion Class Prefect: I am responsible for tracking attendance and maintaining the lesson journal.
• Head of Buddies: I help new students adapt more quickly to studying at Svitlo and answer any questions they may have.
• Reading Buddy: I recently joined this area again, as I had previous experience participating in it during the summer. Before, I worked as a substitute buddy, replacing teachers when needed, and now I conduct my own lessons.
• Council Administrator: I assist the council leader with maintaining spreadsheets and providing additional organizational information.

Future Plans:

I plan to continue actively developing myself, participating in various programs offered by Svitlo School, and contributing to the growth of the school community.

One sentence that describes Dana:

“You can change the world by starting with yourself.”

What Svitlo School means to Dana:

Svitlo School has become much more than just a place of learning for me — it has become a second home. It has had a profound impact on me and changed my life. Thanks to Svitlo, I have overcome my fear of public speaking, stopped worrying about my speaking abilities, and found sincere, kind, and inspiring people.
