Our Summer Camp in Cambridge

Amazingly, the first summer trips from Svitlo School took place this year and WE WENT TO ENGLAND! Two of our students were Yevhen and Dora; they went to MPW College in Cambridge! 

MPW is a 5^th and 6^th Form school with campuses in London, Cambridge and Birmingham.  MPW kindly donated places on their international summer school programme to Svitlo School students! 

We really liked the fact that there was a friendly atmosphere, every class we went to. We attended courses in Philosophy, Sociology and Critical Thinking and after classes we went on various excursions, had fun together, went to London, the cinema and even visited Quest (laser fun).  We attended lectures at Cambridge University and there was a tour of King's College, which is the most famous college in Cambridge.  Interesting fact: Cambridge University is made up of 31 Colleges!

 Zhenya:

 “Hi, I'm Zhenya, a 16-year-old with a passion for kickboxing and entrepreneurship. When I was offered the chance to attend a summer camp in England, I was overjoyed. The trip was truly extraordinary, and England's architecture left me breathless. The camp's warm and friendly atmosphere made us feel like a real family, and I'm grateful for the friendships I formed. Exploring Cambridge and London was a highlight, and I loved the unique atmosphere of England. I'm still in touch with many of my fellow campers, and I would jump at the chance to go back. I wholeheartedly recommend this camp and want to express my sincere thanks to Svitlo School for this incredible opportunity.😄‍

Dora:

 “Hi, I'm Dora, a 16-year-old with a passion for dancing and a love for animals. The opportunity to go to England was a dream come true, and I couldn't believe it was happening. Thanks to the incredible efforts of Yulia, Daria, and Diana, my dream became a reality, and I'll be forever grateful. The camp in Cambridge was a beautiful experience filled with friendship and unforgettable moments. London, in particular, took my breath away. I still keep in touch with the friends I made there and wouldn't hesitate to return for two weeks or more. My heartfelt thanks also go to MPW College for their warm welcome and the joy we shared. This experience was a testament to the support of my family, who believed in me and made this dream possible. ❤️”

Our students really enjoyed this trip because, first of all, it taught them to be more independent as they were traveling alone. Also, by communicating with native speakers and not being able to switch to their own language, they have improved their level of English well and can now easily communicate in it.
