Every pupil joins one of our four Houses when they start at Svitlo, and siblings share a House where possible. Each House has its own Ambassadors and Prefects, who lead it in the inter-House competitions.
Choose a House to see where its name comes from, the powers and goals its pupils chose, and the motto and anthem they wrote together.

Albion is the oldest known name of the British Isles, used by the Greeks and Romans. It means “white land”, which the Romans took to mean the chalk cliffs at Dover. Britain was also called “Foggy Albion”, for the thick sea fog that so often covered its lowlands, a sight many painters tried to capture.
We chose these three because they describe each of us well.
Work on our English, grow our vocabulary and always learn something new.
Be a united team and go confidently towards our goal.
Make positive changes and support each other.

Cute ears, cute paws, cute tail,
But forget about good and magical tales,
We are violent lions, do you understand?
We will tear you apart and tear you again!
Lions are always strong,
They go to their goal.
No one will break their strong spirits,
We hold the helm like tricky pirates.
When you hear a real roar
And it doesn't seem like a howl,
You'd better run far,
Hide and seek would not be fun.
We will bite you, furthermore,
We can catch you with a claw.
There is no way you can hide,
You are always in our sight.
You are shaking, and indeed:
Lions are roaring, you don't sleep.
Hibernia is the old Latin name for the Emerald Isle. It comes from the Greek Iouerníā, from the Celtic Īweriū, which also gave us the modern Éire. The Romans linked the name to winter: the cold weather, frequent fog and lack of resources put them off exploring any further.
We chose them by vote, so they stand for the strengths of everyone in the House.
We follow them with determination, since “achieving” them would mean stopping.
Never give up, and always see things through to the end.
Follow our dreams.
Become better than we are.

Inspired by challenge, unbroken in creativity!
Sung to the tune of the Irish national anthem.
We come along, to journey long,
With shining sun above us.
We know our ways to us belong
And sing with flowing chorus:
Inspired by the Irish land,
Defined by the artist hand,
Unbroken spirit of our band,
Hibernia, stay bright and strong!
Chorus
Dreamers are we, who make it always happen,
Pursue our dreams, going forward to new heights!
We always believe, and follow our passion,
Committed to strive, stay in rays of future lights.
When problems come, we do not fear,
Inspire they us, inventive we're.
The house our, thee we cheer,
Hibernia, stay bright and strong!
Caledonia is the old name for Scotland. It comes from the Celtic word Caledon, meaning “hard or rocky region”, and that suits our pupils well: confident and unwavering in their decisions, they never give up and stand their ground, like rocks.
Like Slytherin's students, we strive to win at all times and in everything.
Keep our lead and build the reputation of our House. The higher you go, the more it hurts to fall.
Build a solid and reliable team.
Never stop improving ourselves, and learn something new every day.

“Steel True, Blade Straight”, the chivalrous motto Arthur Conan Doyle chose for himself.
Soldiers of knowledge, arise!
Gird your armour, open eyes,
Fight with all your might and be wise,
And claim the victor's prize.
Now the battle must be won,
No more slaves to work undone,
Strive for victory, everyone,
And let our learning shine like the sun.
Don your armour, strong and bright,
Warriors of knowledge, filled with light,
Never falter, never take flight,
Our reward awaits, so hold tight.
We'll conquer all our rivals tall,
And never let our spirits fall,
Share our triumphs and stand tall,
And let our knowledge touch all.
So march forth with heads held high,
Our minds sharp and our hearts nigh,
Together we'll reach the sky,
And let our knowledge never die.
Cambria is the Latin form of Cymru, the Welsh name for Wales. The name came into use after the Anglo-Saxons settled much of Britain, to tell the remaining Celtic British kingdoms apart from the new Anglo-Saxon ones.
We wrote these after several months of working together.
Gain knowledge. Learning something new is the most interesting thing there is.
Reach new heights. We learn to overcome difficulties, find compromises and keep going.
Friendship. We welcome everyone into our House, and we are waiting for you.

We are like fire: burn everything up and go higher.
A precious key has been given to us,
To a big box with a treasure and a secret.
As it turns out, the secret is Knowledge
That is priceless,
Like the top of Everest,
Like a tricky, complex mystery.
But we're not afraid!
We're going to make the best of it.
We won't kneel before its power,
We're not afraid of the struggles that lie ahead!
'Cause we're a tight-knit team,
We're strong when we're united.
And everyone's at home,
Everyone's important,
Everyone remains themself,
But the goal's the only one:
To unlock the mystery of wisdom,
To gain knowledge,
And on the way to become stronger,
To develop a strong team spirit.
Our school vision, Compassion, Curiosity, Inspiration, sits at the heart of the House system. Through their House, pupils try new activities, compete in a healthy way, build a community and look out for each other.
At the House Festival at the end of the year, the House with the most points wins the House Cup.
Congratulations, Hibernia, winners in summer 2026. Your hard work and dedication have paid off, and you should be proud of what you have achieved.
