Heather has been teaching since 1996 including twelve years in online education. She is a subject leader in Geography and Travel & Tourism and a Principal Examiner and Chair of Examiners for GCSE examinations. She is a Founding Fellow of the Chartered College of Teaching. Heather has seven university degrees and recently completed her third Master’s, at Cambridge University, specialising in online assessment. She has a strong belief in life-long learning.
Heather joined Svitlo as a volunteer in 2024 teaching travel and tourism and has been invited to become our Head of Academics and Designated Safeguarding Lead in September 2025.
Heather is married with three adult stepchildren and two greyhounds! Having been born with Cystic Fibrosis (CF), she periodically runs for charities to raise money for people with CF and greyhound rescues.
